WorthGoalPrivacy Policy
WorthGoal ("the App") is developed by Bikas Panigrahi ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how.
Information we store
Everything you enter into WorthGoal — assets, debts, contributions, your net worth goal, your net worth history, category settings, and your app preferences (theme, notification settings) — is stored locally on your device, in the App's own private storage. Where needed to power your Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a summary is shared through a private App Group container that only WorthGoal and its own widget can read on the same device.
None of this information is transmitted to us or to any server we operate. There is no account system, no login, and no way for us to see your data, because it never leaves your device.
If you add a profile photo, it is saved locally in the App's storage on your device and is not uploaded anywhere.
Your device's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), if you have them turned on, may include the App's data. Those backups are handled by Apple under your Apple Account, not by us.
Importing and exporting
If you export your data, WorthGoal creates a CSV file and hands it to the iOS share sheet; you choose where it goes. If you import a CSV file, the App reads the file you pick on your device to fill in your figures. We never receive these files.
Purchases
WorthGoal offers an optional yearly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. These are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details, name, or Apple Account information. The App only asks Apple whether a WorthGoal purchase is active on your Apple Account, so it can unlock the paid features. Apple's handling of purchases is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
Information sent to third parties
Apart from purchase checks with Apple, WorthGoal makes one type of network request: when you use the foreign currency feature, the App asks Frankfurter, a free public exchange-rate service, for current conversion rates (for example, "CAD to USD, EUR"). This request contains only currency codes — no personal information, financial figures, or identifiers of any kind. Frankfurter's handling of standard network request data (such as your IP address, as with any internet request) is governed by their service, not by us.
WorthGoal does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind, and does not share, sell, or transmit your data to any other third party.
Face ID / Passcode
If you turn on the optional Face ID / Passcode Lock in Profile, WorthGoal uses Apple's on-device authentication to lock the App. This happens entirely on your device through Apple's system frameworks — we never receive or store any biometric or passcode data.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, WorthGoal schedules local notifications directly on your device using Apple's notification system. They are not sent from a remote server — nothing about your goals or progress leaves your device to make this happen.
Your control over your data
You can review, edit, or delete your figures at any time within the App. "Reset Financial Figures" in Profile clears your saved assets, liabilities, contributions, and net worth history. Deleting the App from your device removes all of its locally stored data, including the widget data.
This website
worthgoal.com is hosted by Cloudflare. It uses no cookies and no advertising or tracking scripts. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without collecting personal information. Your light/dark choice is remembered in your own browser only.
If you sign up to be notified about the launch, we store your email address with our email provider, Kit (kit.com), only to send that announcement. Kit first emails you a link to confirm your signup. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
Children's privacy
WorthGoal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Since the App does not collect information from anyone, this is true for all users regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the App adds a feature that changes how data is handled — we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
